PURPOSE: The role of a Program Coordinator is to plan efficiently and work effectively with interested volunteers and select, train, monitor and support the right set of mentors with adequate skills and the right mindsets to ensure quality mentorships are facilitated which in turn would help the organisation realise its mission and vision.

LOCATION: Bangalore & Pune

EXPERIENCE: Up to 2 years of relevant social sector experience or strong related sector experience.

OVERVIEW: The Program Coordinator is a key part of our program team. This role is an introduction to program management at Mentor Together. Individuals in this role execute a project of 70 – 100 mentorship pairs, in year 1, with the support of their mentee team and the Program Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 80% Program Execution

 

      • Build a thorough understanding of the mentoring pre and post-match processes to be able to come up with innovative and creative solutions to operational challenges if any.
      • Plan & execute mentor outreach reaching out to at least 400 – 500 mentors, over different mediums – corporate partners, social media etc
      • Plan, conduct and transcribe at least 70 – 100 mentor interviews over the course of 1 year
      • Plan and arrange for mentor training
      • Participate in mentor-mentee matching
      • Plan for and facilitate mentor-mentee introductions
      • Read mentor logs and do regular check-ins with mentors
      • Participate in ongoing mentorship planning and support activities
      • Plan and execute review meetings with mentors and mentees

  • 15% Program Reporting

 

    • Update the internal tracking sheets (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) on a timely manner to help track progress of the program on the mentor side
    • Prepare monthly newsletter to share about project progress amongst team and mentor community

  • 5% Inventory Management

 

    • Manage accounts and inventory for project. This includes project accounts, stock of curriculum and resources, data records in digital and hard copy.

We are seeking a Technical Project  Manager who is passionate about building technology that  solves social problems and creating experiences that are elegant and effective. You will own, drive and create world-class user experiences throughout the lifecycle. You will serve as a product owner within an agile, cross-functional team of operations and engineers to work on the most impactful features. You are user-centric, continuously demonstrate strategic & analytical abilities, and are laser focused on executing at speed. In this role, you will partner with diverse cross-functional teams to lead, execute, monitor, and deliver results. You must have the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners in a positive, productive, and transparent way.

Responsibilities

  • Understand MT’s strategic position to deliver features
  • Drive product development to build end to end solutions with a team of engineers and designers.
  • Serve as a product owner within an agile  team, write user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and work closely with engineers on the team to implement and acceptance test the stories
  • Create a deep understanding of our demand and supply side users. Analyze current user experiences to define friction points and create seamless and effortless experiences
  • Develop a product roadmap and work with cross-functional teams (business, operations, development, UX, analytics) to execute on the roadmap
  • Apply analytics to evaluate launch outcomes and ongoing platform performance to help build best in class experiences.
  • Define detailed product requirements and use rapid cycles to iterate and learn
  • Build trust and effective relationships with cross-functional team and provide leadership across the product, engineering and business teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably   CS or related discipline
  • 8Y+ of experience in internet technologies based product development for the web as well mobile devices   with some experience on applications using Django, React, Postgressql
  • 3Y+ of technical project management  driving end to end implementation from defining user stories to testing and deployment of features
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology. 
  • Detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team player; ability to interface and build relations at all levels

You must have the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members in a positive, productive, and transparent way.

Minimum requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably  CS  or related discipline  
  • 3+ years experience working in Unix/Linux environments building web and mobile applications
  • Proficiency in developing and deploying cloud based Python/Postgresql applications preferably using frameworks such as Django
  • Experience with design and development of moderately complex software projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with version control software such as Git

Desired  requirements 

  • 5+ years of overall relevant work experience
  • Experience building apps using React/React-Native
  • Basic understanding of AWS cloud
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs

Position Summary:

The content writer intern will work with our internal social media working group and our program team in conceptualising and creating content across a range of platforms for internal and external stakeholders. If you are passionate about helping nonprofits, communicate about their work, youth mentoring, or child psychology, this is the right position for you. 

This is a paid internship for 2 months

Responsibilities: 

  • Developing content formats: 

 

      1. Understand the scope of Mentor Together’s work across our research, program operations, technology, and overall organisation to identify stories, key messages of communication, and key platforms/mediums of communication
      2. Prepare templates for different types of content and guidelines for each format

  • Content creation:

 

      1. Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to prepare content across formats
      2. Secure relevant permissions for all material collect
      3. Ensure content meets all relevant standards for publication

  • Content publication:

 

    1. Work closely with the content developer intern to design and publish content in  the appropriate formats across different platforms
    2. Monitor and manage interactions on internal and external platforms

      1. Design collateral (posters, videos, newsletters) for mentor and mentee recruitment
      2. Design graphics and videos of social media
      3. Design elements for internal and external newsletters
      4. Design for content on the Mentor To Go app

  • Publication

 

      1. Publish content on different internal and external platforms

  • Monitoring 
    1. Measure and report on performance of different designs and campaigns
    2. Increase traction and engagement on Mentor Together’s social media 

Requirements: 

  1. Undergraduate or postgraduate student of Design, Art, Applied Art Communication Design, or related fields 
  2. Competent in graphic design and video editing
  3. Strong knowledge of social media best practices, tools and applications
