We are an award winning non-profit organization that has pioneered the youth mentoring movement in India since 2010. We provide children and youth facing adversity, empowering one-on-one relationships with mentors, that help them break the inequality of opportunity.

Vision of the Mentor To Go App

The vision of Mentor To Go App is two-fold: first, to leverage technology to provide career mentorship anytime, anywhere to young people. And second, to build mentoring technology that can power the global mentoring community. Our app and work have been showcased at the 2017 and 2018 International ICT4D Conference, and at the 2019 Annual Mentoring Summit in Washington, DC.

Mentor To Go is supported by Cisco India CSR, LinkedIn Social Impact and Sterlite Technologies.

Executive Director –  Mentor To Go (Mentor Together’s mobile mentoring platform )

Responsibilities

  1. Program Strategic Growth

Mentor To Go emerged from a deep understanding of our mentees as they moved from school to college to University, and then onto their first jobs. We understood their needs for more autonomy and flexibility in their mentoring goals and schedules. As they prepared to enter the workforce, they also had strong needs for more diverse networks and personalised relationships that could give them more exposure to work skills and career planning. On the mentor side, we wanted to catalyse greater giveback and volunteering. To make it simpler and more accessible.

We believe that there are specific problem statements and opportunities that technology is uniquely placed to solve, and any technology product has to find that niche. The functional responsibilities of the Executive Director will be to:

For mentees, the goal of the app is to support their work-readiness on a range of topics, help them access personalised mentorship on career planning, and also apply for internships.

For mentors, the app serves as a one-stop gateway to learn and practice mentorship skills, give back from their career experiences, and network with like-minded professionals across the country.
