OVERVIEW: The Project Coordinator is a key part of our program team. This role is an introduction to program management at Mentor Together. Individuals in this role execute a project of 70 – 100 mentorship pairs, in year 1, with the support of their mentee team and the Program Manager. Key responsibilities include interviewing mentors, assisting in mentor training, and reviewing the progress of mentorship with mentees and mentors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build a thorough understanding of the mentoring pre-and post-match processes
• Plan, conduct and transcribe at least 70 – 100 mentor interviews over the course of 1 year
• Plan and arrange for mentor trainings
• Participate in mentor-mentee matching
• Facilitate mentor-mentee introductions (will involve travel to mentee or mentor locations around the Program City. All such travel expenditure will be covered by the organization)
• Participate in ongoing mentorship planning and support activities
• Plan and execute review meetings with mentors and mentees
• Manage accounts and inventory for project. This includes project accounts, stock of curriculum and resources, data records in digital and hard copy.

GROWTH & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:

• Formal training (up to 36 hours)

o Mentorship theories and frameworks
o Understanding adolescents
o Qualitative and quantitative methods of documentation
• This role leads into our Program Manager role after 1-2 years of demonstrable performance in the organization, with commensurate increase in compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in social sciences or relevant subject.
• At least 2 years of experience working with youth at-risk (full-time preferred)
• Demonstrable skills in project execution
• Demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload
• Some prior experience working/conducting sessions with children from lower-income groups
• Fully proficient in English. Proficiency in Kannada, Marathi, Hindi will be an added advantage depending on the Program Location
• Fully proficient in MS Office

LOCATION: Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune

EXPERIENCE: 4 years of relevant social sector experience or strong related sector experience, in program management and reporting.

OVERVIEW: The Program Manager has overall ownership and responsibility of a program with 100 – 150 pairs, working with 1 project coordinator and 2 mentee coordinators to ensure successful program execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create & own the annual operational plan for a program with at least 100 – 150 pairs
• Plan & execute mentor outreach reaching out to at least 400 – 500 mentors, over different mediums – corporate partners, social media etc.
• Participate in at least half of the mentor selection along with the project co-ordinator and oversee remaining mentor selection to ensure successful completion & intake of at least 100 mentors over the program cycle
• Deliver the full induction training (of 8 hours) to mentors selected
• Oversee planning of mentee outreach & selection for 100 – 150 mentees
• Plan and execute matching of mentors and mentees across 100 – 150 pairs
• Oversee successful introduction of 100 – 150 pairs in the program cycle
• Track and report the planning of regular mentoring meetings in the program
• Read mentor logs and do regular check-ins with mentors
• Prepare standardized reports for mentor reviews and deliver review sessions at least 2 times per mentor in the program cycle
• Create and execute a calendar of events/activities for mentors and mentees in the city during the program cycle
• Create monthly reports on key project activities
• Manage program accounts

GROWTH & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:
• Formal training on (up to 60 hours)
o Project planning & reporting
o Advanced mentorship theories and frameworks
o Mentor training
o Qualitative and quantitative methods of documentation
• Mentoring through senior program management individuals in the organization and externally, on-going for 4 months during a program year
• The Program Manager role after 2 years of demonstrable experience rolls into a Senior Program Manager track in the organization, with commensurate increase in compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in social sciences or relevant subject. Post-graduate holders preferred
• At least 4 years of experience in program management and execution. Some time must have been spent directly working with youth at-risk.
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills
• Demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload
• Fully proficient in MS Office

LOCATION: Bangalore OR Mumbai

EXPERIENCE: At least 4 years of project execution and 2-3 years of project management experience in the social sector.

OVERVIEW: The Senior Program Manager has overall ownership and responsibility of a city’s programs with upto 250 pairs, working with 1 program manager, 1 project coordinator and 2 mentee coordinators to ensure successful program execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Co-create and own the key project relationships for all the projects in the city for up to 250 pairs- project plans, log-frames etc. with the partners.
• Vet and approve the individual project plans with project PMs.
• Support program teams in their quarterly, monthly and weekly internal project planning.
• Do financial planning and manage a city’s budget – across personnel, program and overhead costs.
• Do personnel planning – overall needs estimation for a project, leading to hiring and training.
• Participate in at least 50% of operational processes in year 1 of 1-2 projects, if not familiar with the operational processes.
• Prepare annual project and impact reports.

GROWTH & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:
• Formal training on (up to 100 hours)
o Individual and team leadership, strategic planning and partnership building
o Performance appraisals and performance management
o Project forecasting and planning
o Budgeting and financial management
o Relevant operational processes, as necessary
